In 2008, we broke into the Solar industry with two back-to-back roof to car port solar systems, in Trenton, NJ. We were given an opportunity to work with a solar firm that designed and procured the systems for one of our most valued clients, local development firm, Nexus Properties.
Before we were introduced to the projects, it was originally contracted to a solar installation firm. They began the projects with very poor productions and just after a weeks’ worth of time, it was mutually decided that they leave the job. When we stepped in, it was late December with frigid cold temperatures and extremely high winds. We noticed almost immediately
that the previous contractor’s approach to the awkward installation due to the slope of the parking garages deck and the array’s pitch, was inefficient and time consuming.
We quickly came up with a plan for staging the modules and efficiently installing them to the bulky steel structure and uni-strut support system. Within the first two days, we shattered the production by double of what the pervious firm had completed in a weeks’ time, with the same amount of manpower. From there, we knew that we could fully approach the solar industry and bring the quality of our electrical work, to any solar project at hand.
Since 2008, we have successful completed many picture-perfect installations throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. These projects have a range of different characteristic and challenges in different types of intricate custom parking structures, ground mounts, self-ballasted roof mounts, standing seam roof mounts, and carport canopies structures ranging from 10 kW up to 3 megawatts.
We have worked at some of the world’s most prestigious companies in the pharmaceutical & industrial manufacturing industries, such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Johnson & Johnson, Munich Reinsurance, McKesson, and Firmenich. To date, our solar experiences can be compiled to over 30 megawatts of PV, spread-out over 60 different locations, all have which have resulted in great success with little to no downtime.
